The role
Job description
Markage is looking for a Lead Product Manager to join our fully remote Canadian team. This role focuses on leading product direction, priorities, discovery, delivery, and measurable outcomes for digital products. You will own major product decisions across customer needs, business priorities, technical constraints, and delivery capacity. The role requires strong product judgment, evidence-based prioritization, clear communication, and the ability to align senior stakeholders without relying on process for its own sake. You will work with executive leadership, designers, engineers, analysts, marketers, client teams, and operational stakeholders. Clear communication, reliable follow-through, and careful work are expected. AI-assisted tools may be used for research synthesis, product analysis, roadmap preparation, decision records, experiment planning, and performance reporting. All AI-assisted work must be reviewed for accuracy, relevance, confidentiality, and fit before it is shared or used.
Essential duties

- Lead discovery work to clarify customer problems, business opportunities, constraints, and evidence.
- Define and maintain roadmaps based on value, risk, learning needs, dependencies, and delivery capacity.
- Write or guide clear product requirements, problem statements, success measures, and decision records.
- Work closely with design and engineering through discovery, delivery, release, and iteration.
- Prioritize competing requests and make explicit trade-offs when capacity or evidence is limited.
- Establish product measures and use customer, usage, commercial, and operational data to guide decisions.
- Lead stakeholder reviews and communicate product decisions, uncertainty, risks, and changes clearly.
- Support experimentation, launch planning, adoption, and post-release learning.
- Guide product managers or cross-functional product leads where the scope requires it.
- Identify structural product risks, capability gaps, and opportunities that warrant leadership attention.
Essential requirements
- Substantial product-management experience with responsibility for digital products or platforms.
- Experience leading discovery, prioritization, roadmaps, delivery, and outcome measurement.
- Strong ability to make trade-offs across customer, commercial, operational, and technical needs.

- Holds a valid Dex Professional Lead Expert Certification (DEX-PLE) in the Information Technology domain.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with SaaS, platform, marketplace, e-commerce, or other complex digital products.
- Experience managing product managers or leading a product portfolio.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, engineering, design, or a related field.
