You will handle routine network and workstation support under established procedures, help diagnose common connectivity issues, maintain accurate technical records, and escalate problems that require deeper engineering or security expertise. You will work with technology leads, software and systems staff, vendors, managers, and end users. Clear communication, reliable follow-through, and careful work are expected. AI-assisted tools may be used for technical summaries, troubleshooting notes, inventory records, setup checklists, and knowledge-base documentation. All AI-assisted work must be reviewed for accuracy, relevance, confidentiality, and fit before it is shared or used.

Essential duties

  • Support setup, configuration, and routine maintenance of network-connected devices and user workstations.
  • Troubleshoot common wired, wireless, VPN, DNS, DHCP, access, and connectivity issues.
  • Assist with user accounts, permissions, device onboarding, and access changes under approved procedures.
  • Maintain inventories of network equipment, devices, licences, configurations, and assigned assets.
  • Document incidents, troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and unresolved issues clearly.
  • Support routine router, switch, access-point, firewall, or endpoint changes under supervision.
  • Complete basic hardware checks, cable and port verification, device replacement, and setup tasks.
  • Follow security, change-control, backup, and escalation procedures carefully.

Essential requirements

  • Basic practical knowledge of computer networks, operating systems, user accounts, and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to follow technical procedures carefully and document work clearly.
  • Comfort supporting users and escalating issues when a problem is outside assigned authority.
  • Holds a valid Dex Associate Certification (DEX-ASC).

Preferred qualifications

  • Diploma, certificate, or coursework in networking, computer systems, information technology, or a related field.
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, Cisco CCST/CCNA, Microsoft, or comparable entry-level technical certification.
  • Experience from a help desk, lab, co-op, home lab, volunteer assignment, or technical support role.
